Cameo launches its own NFT project, Cameo Pass

Popular video platform, Cameo, recently unveiled a new feature that will help to unlock never-before-seen perks and exclusive experiences on the platform.

The feature which is called Cameo Pass is an Ethereum NFT that works just like a ticket. Owning it gives you VIP access to all the services Cameo offers.

Cameo is an app that allows you to pay for personalized video messages from celebrities and online influencers.

The company was founded in 2017 by Steven Galanis. The company struck gold and hit peak popularity during the pandemic in 2020.

It was valued at $1 billion following a $100 million investment. The platform features thousands of celebrities, athletes, and public figures from the worlds of entertainment, sports, politics, and more.

Cameo Pass is going to be live on February 17, 2022 and the NFT is going to be available for purchase on the world’s largest NFT platform, OpenSea.

The special ticket will sell for 0.2 ETH, which is about $520 as at the time of this publication.

The passes will be made by Doodles artist Burnt Toast, NFT artist Vinnie Hager, and cartoonist Luke McGarry, who already sells his artwork via Cameo.

Holders of Cameo Pass will have access to future live and online events, including parties at the Cameo House in Beverly Hills, meet and greet opportunities, and online Q&A sessions with celebrities.

The company will also give holders exclusive merchandise, along with access to a Cameo location that will be built in the metaverse.

Cameo has said that it will reinvest funds from the NFT sales into future Web3 efforts and explorations as the company embraces “fan-centric experiences that are backed by decentralised technology.”

NFTs seem to be the blockchain sector which has drawn a lot of celebrity attention. Many celebrities like Justin Bieber and Paris Hilton own NFTs and a couple of them like Snoop Dogg have created theirs and sold them.
